What we wax
Our Service Menu lists a brow wax, lip wax, chin wax, nose wax, and ear wax for the face. For the body, it lists under arm, half arm, full arm, half leg, full leg, and back waxing, plus basic bikini, bikini plus, and Brazilian wax. We also do brow tint and brow lamination if you want to shape and set your brows without a semi-permanent service.
How to prepare
Let your hair grow out a little so the wax can grip it, and ask us if you are not sure it is long enough. Avoid heavy sun exposure before your visit, since sun makes skin more sensitive. Skip lotion and oils on the area that day, and ask us whether to exfoliate beforehand. Tell us about any medications or skincare that affect your skin, such as retinoids, because they can make skin more delicate.
What happens during your visit
We review your skin and any sensitivities, then clean the area and apply the wax. We talk you through each step and check in as we go. When we finish, we soothe the skin and go over how to care for it.
Skin, sensitivities, and timing
Waxing works on most skin, but we check first. If your skin is sunburned, broken, or irritated in the area, we will wait. Recent peels, strong exfoliants, and retinoids can leave skin delicate, so tell us before we start. Plan your visit for a day when a little pinkness will not bother you, and not the morning of a big event. If you are new to waxing, a brow or lip wax is a gentle way to start and gives you a feel for the process.
Aftercare
For the first day, keep the area clean and avoid heat, such as hot tubs, saunas, and heavy workouts, plus tight clothing that rubs. Skip scrubs and strong products until the skin settles, and use sunscreen on waxed areas that are exposed. If you notice unusual redness or discomfort that does not fade, call us.
Pairing waxing with other services
Brows are a natural fit with other eye services. Ask about eyelash extensions or microblading if you want a fuller look. If you are thinking about a facial or a peel near your wax, ask us how to space them. You can reach us through our contact page if you have a question about your skin before you book.
